1. Confirm Power and LEDs
Plug the GS-450 into the OBD-II port (or through the included Y-splitter harness).
Turn the vehicle’s ignition to the ON position, or start the engine.
Check the device’s LEDs:
Normal Operation: The red and blue LEDs flash simultaneously when the device is powered and communicating.
No LEDs: The device is not receiving power.
2. Common Issues and Solutions
A. No LEDs or No Power
Ensure the GS-450 is firmly connected to the OBD-II port or Y-splitter.
Try connecting the device directly to the OBD-II port (without the splitter).
If the device powers on without the splitter, the Y-splitter harness may be defective. Contact support for a replacement.
B. Device Has Power, But No Location Updates
The GS-450 requires a clear view of the sky to connect to GPS satellites.
If installed under heavy metal surfaces (e.g., inside a metal dash enclosure), the device may not receive a GPS signal.
Try relocating the device to a port or area with better sky visibility.
3. Next Steps
If you have completed the steps above and the device still does not function properly:
Note the LED behavior when the device is powered.
Contact Support and provide:
Vehicle make, model, and year.
Whether a Y-splitter was used.
LED status when the engine is running.
