Project Access Management

Control which users can access specific projects. Grant or revoke project access for individual users

Introduction

The Project Access Management screen gives administrators the ability to define which users can access which projects. This helps organizations comply with DOT visibility requirements and manage project-specific access without relying solely on ACLs.

📌 This feature is not available from the New Project screen. Projects must be saved before access can be managed.

Navigation

To access this feature:

Go to: MMS > Project Access Management > Project Access Management

Use This Feature To:

  • Grant access to users on a per-project basis

  • Revoke access to restrict sensitive projects (e.g., DOT)

  • Review which users currently have access to a selected project

  • Use search tools to quickly find and assign access

How It Works

  • Use the search field to quickly find a project

  • Optional: Filter to DOT Projects Only

  • Lists all users in the system (from Add/Edit Users)

  • Use the search bar to locate a specific user

  • Click the + icon to grant access

  • Click the trash icon to revoke access

  • Shows a live view of who has access to the selected project

Update Access

Click Update Access List to save changes to user access for the selected project.

View Access History

  • Click the clock icon next to a project to open the Access List Audit

  • See who granted or revoked access and when it occurred

Edit Access in Bulk

  • Click the pencil icon next to a project or user to open the Manage Access List

  • Grant or revoke multiple projects or users from one screen

  • Be sure to click Update Access to save or Cancel to discard

Where Project Access Applies

These access rules apply to:

  • Scale Ticket Summary and Details Reports

  • Project Geozones

  • Equipment shown on the Home screen

  • Today’s Shifts and Completed Shifts

If a user does not have access via Project Access Management, they will not see data from that project — unless they are added as a Contact or granted the View All Shifts ACL.
