Introduction:
This section allows users to create and manage a custom list of equipment types, integral for organizing equipment lists. Pay rates associated with these types influence TcPT and Virtual Shift Ticket reports.

To access this feature:
Go to: Manage > Equipment > Add/Edit Custom Equipment Types
Types are categories of equipment, so this isn’t your particular piece of equipment; it’s the different (general) categories of equipment that you have, like: mills, pavers, dump trucks, lowboys, etc.

To create a basic Custom Equipment Type:
Click the Add New Custom Equipment Type button in the top left corner.
A popup window will appear in the center of the screen.
Enter the Custom Equipment Type Name.
Scroll past the Pay Rates and under Off-Road Rate
Select the Custom Equipment Type Category from the dropdown list.
If this equipment type requires certain certifications (for example, a specific license or safety training), use the new Required Certifications field to select them. This does not enforce certification checks yet, it only tags the equipment type so certifications can be tracked; enforcement is handled by the Certification Status feature.
Scroll to the bottom and choose an Icon from the Icon Category dropdown list.
Use the dropdown to Select a category then click on the desired icon.
The icon represents the equipment type on the map.
Click Save to finalize and create the equipment type.
