Introductions:
The Assign Device to Company page helps organize device distribution across multiple companies. All devices are initially assigned to the parent company. If devices need to be installed on equipment from different companies, they must first be reassigned to the appropriate company using this page. This tool allows users to efficiently move devices between companies before coupling them to equipment.
Navigation:
To access this feature:
Go to: Manage > Devices > Assign Device To Company
Note: Additional Companies must be added under Manage > Company > Add/Edit Companies.
Page Info:
All devices are assigned by default to the parent company.
Devices that are not coupled will appear above devices that are currently coupled.
All Device types are displayed on this page.
If you assign a device that is currently installed then it will also re-assign that Equipment.
If a Company does not have any trucks assigned to them, they will not appear in the dropdown Company menu, and devices will not be able to be assigned.
Assign Device to Company:
Move devices from the parent company to a third party company.
Start by adding a checkmark to all ESN numbers you want to move.
Once you have made your selections, select the company you want to assign the devices to under Move to Company.
Click the green Move Devices button.
A confirmation message will appear, indicating the move was successful.
Move devices from a third party company to the parent company.
Start by selecting the third-party company using the blue Choose Company button under Devices Currently Assigned.
Locate the company name, click it, and then click the Select button.
This will display all devices currently assigned to the third-party company.
Use the checkboxes to select the ESNs you want to move.
Under Move to Company, use the dropdown to select the new company name.
Click the green Move Devices button.
A confirmation message will appear, indicating the move was successful.
