Introduction
The Easy Device Install/Remove page allows companies to quickly assign or remove plug-in CLA devices. These devices are typically used for on-road vehicles and support fast, flexible installation.
⚠️ Note: The company must be assigned to both the device and the equipment in order to complete the pairing.
Navigation
To access this feature:
Go to: Manage > Devices > Assign CLA Device to Truck
Use This Page To:
View all available CLA devices and eligible equipment
Drag and drop a device to couple it with a piece of equipment
Set the installation start date and time (in local time)
Remove devices and define their removal date/time
Work with CLA device models such as GS-280c, GS-312c, and GS-495c
🟢 Coupling a Device (Install)
On the left panel, find the available device listed under your company’s name.
On the right panel, locate the equipment you want to assign it to.
Drag the device from the left to the equipment on the right.
A popup titled Install Device to Equipment will appear.
Enter the starting date and time of installation.
Time must be in military format (24-hour clock).
Click Apply to complete the coupling.
🔴 Decoupling a Device (Remove)
On the equipment panel (right side), locate the assigned device you wish to remove.
Click the gray X button next to the device.
A popup titled Remove Device from Equipment will appear.
Enter the ending date and time of removal.
Click Apply to complete the decoupling.
Switching Between Companies
If your user account has access to multiple companies, you can manage their CLA devices and equipment from the same screen.
Use the Company dropdown at the top of the page to switch between companies.
When you select a different company, the available devices (left side) and eligible equipment (right side) will automatically update to reflect that company's assets.
Devices and equipment must be assigned to the same company before installation is allowed.
📌 To reassign devices across companies, use the Assign Device to Company screen before proceeding with install/remove actions.
Behavior Notes
Device and equipment must be assigned to the same company to appear in the install/remove screen.
If the starting date/time is before the previous install date, an error will appear.
New CLA-compatible devices (like GS-312c and GS-495c) are supported.
Device ESNs (including longer formats like TOPFLYtech) now display cleanly in the UI.
Available devices are now visible even if no uncoupled equipment exists, so users can prepare pairings ahead of time.
