Introduction
The BLE Asset Install/Remove page allows companies to manage BLE device assignments to light-duty equipment, tools, and accessories categorized as BLE Assets. This interface mirrors the Easy Device Install/Remove screen used for CLA devices but is specific to Bluetooth-enabled equipment.
Navigation
To access this feature:
Go to: Manage > Devices > Assign Device to BLE Asset [Legacy]
Use This Page To:
Assign BLE devices to your assets using a drag-and-drop interface
Remove BLE devices from equipment and set removal times
View available and currently assigned BLE devices
Switch between companies to manage other fleets
Coupling a Device (Install)
Select your company from the dropdown at the top of the page.
On the left panel, locate an available BLE device under your selected company.
On the right panel, locate the piece of equipment (Custom Equipment type BLE Asset) that is not currently assigned to a device.
Drag the device from the left side to the equipment on the right.
A popup titled Install Device to Equipment will appear.
Review or edit the Date/Time field (military time).
Click Apply to complete the installation.
⚠️ The system will block any attempt to install a device using a time that is earlier than a prior installation date on the selected equipment.
Decoupling a Device (Remove)
Find the equipment in the right-side panel that has a device assigned.
Click the X button next to the device ESN.
A popup titled Remove Device from Equipment will appear.
Enter or adjust the Date/Time when the device should be removed.
Click Apply to complete the decoupling.
⚠️ You cannot remove a device using a time earlier than the install date. An error will be shown if this occurs.
Switching Between Companies
If your account has access to multiple companies:
Use the dropdown selector at the top of the page to view and manage each company’s BLE Assets devices and equipment.
Devices must first be assigned to the correct company using the Assign Device to Company page before they appear here.
Reporting Note: BLE Asset Tracking
The Current Fleet Status Report now includes BLE Asset in the Asset Type filter.
If a BLE Asset hasn’t been created yet, the filter will display “No Results".
