Introduction
If you're trying to change the geo-zone around a piece of off-road equipment — like a paver, mill, or excavator — you need to update the Outer Radius value within an active shift. This radius defines how far around the equipment trucks must be to trigger arrival or departure.
This setting is only available in shifts where off-road equipment is used as the source or destination.

To access this setting:
Go to: MMS > Shifts > Today's Shifts
Step-by-step Instructions
From the Today's Shifts page, find the shift card that includes the equipment you want to update.
To the right of the Project Name, click (edit) to open the shift edit window.
Locate the Source Eq Radius and/or Destination Eq Radius fields.
Use the arrows or type directly to enter the new radius in feet.
Click Save at the bottom of the window to apply your changes.
How the Outer Radius Works
The Outer Radius creates a “traveling work area” around the equipment. This geo-zone moves with the machine throughout the shift.
Use this to track truck arrivals or departures within a defined area.
The radius you choose depends on how many trucks you want to capture at once.
There is no standard value — it varies based on job size, equipment movement, and truck flow.
Additional Notes on Inner Radius (for clarity)
In the Equipment List, there's a field called Geo Radius, also labeled as Geo-zone Inner Radius (Feet) when editing the equipment.
This inner radius is used to detect the equipment itself — not to define a work area.
The recommended value for the inner radius is 150 feet to ensure reliable detection during operations like truck dumping.
Requirements
Equipment must have an Asset Type of Off-Road and a value set in the Geo Radius field.
Only Admin-level users can edit shifts and change outer radius values.
Outer Radius settings are only available on active shifts and must be updated per shift.
