To protect your historical data, FleetWatcher automatically audits your system before any deletion to show you exactly how many records will be affected.
How to Edit or Delete a Phase Code
Follow these steps to update or remove a phase code:
Navigate to the Phase Code: There are two locations in FleetWatcher where you can Edit/Delete phase codes.
The Add/Edit Shifts (MMS > Shifts > Add/Edit Shifts) page or the Create Manual Shift Ticket (MMS > Virtual Shift Tickets > Create) page.
Open Phase Code Management:
Add/Edit Shifts: Locate the Phase Code field under the “What” section. Click the blue Edit/Delete Phase Codes link positioned under the Phase Code text box..
Create Manual Shift Tickets: Locate the Phase Code to the right of the Note text box.
Choose Your Action:
In the pop-up window:
To Edit: Select the code from the dropdown, click the blue EDIT button, type the new name, and click Save.
To Delete: Select the code from the dropdown and click the red DELETE button.
Confirm Any Deletions:
If you choose to delete a phase code, a safety warning will appear displaying the exact number of active or past records linked to that code (e.g., "This phase code is linked to 3 records").
Review the impact count, then click Confirm Delete to finalize or Cancel to abort.
