Apex Order Automation Integration Troubleshooting

This guide covers common issues when using the Apex Order Automation integration along with troubleshooting steps. If issues persist, contact FleetWatcher support. When escalating to FleetWatcher support, please provide a screenshot of the Apex job order in question.

Common Issues & Troubleshooting Steps

1. Missing or Incomplete Shift Data

Issue: Shifts/Orders are set up automatically but missing key information like KPIs, project name, dispatch number, etc.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Check if the data is visible on the Apex order within the Apex system.

    • If missing: This is the source of the issue.

    • If correct: Determine if the issue affects all Apex orders or a single order.

      • All orders? Contact FleetWatcher support and provide a screen shot of a correct Apex order.

      • Single order? Contact FleetWatcher support and provide a screen shot of the correct Apex order.

2. Missing Orders/Shifts

Issue: Shifts/Orders are missing entirely in the FleetWatcher system.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Verify the Freight FOB field in Apex is set to “Delivery” and the order status is “Committed”.

    • If incorrect: This is the source of the issue. FleetWatcher will only grab orders meeting these requirements.

    • If correct: Determine if the issue affects all Apex orders or a single order.

      • All orders? Contact FleetWatcher support.

      • Single order? Review the next troubleshooting step.

  • Verify that all required fields have a value on the Apex order. Missing data can cause FleetWatcher to reject orders.

    • Order

    • P.O/Rel

    • Customer Job

    • Location

    • Product

    • Quantity

    • Start

    • Finish

**NOTE: The Apex Order Automation integration is designed to only automate the shift creation for committed delivery jobs. FOB jobs or pending orders will not generate in FleetWatcher.

3. Orders/Shifts Appearing on the Wrong Date

Issue: Shifts/Orders are created on wrong days, usually a day before or after the correct date.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Verify that the correct start and end date is on the Apex dispatch order.

    • If incorrect: This is the source of the issue.

    • If correct: Determine if the issue affects all Apex orders or a single order.

      • All orders? Contact FleetWatcher support.

      • Single order? Contact FleetWatcher support.

  • Verify that FleetWatcher Autogenerated shift default times are set up on MMS controls

    • If not set: This might be the source of the issue.

    • If set: Determine if the issue affects all Apex orders or a single order.

      • All orders? Contact FleetWatcher support.

      • Single order? Contact FleetWatcher support.

4. Missing shifts from specific plants (does the client still request plants to include? Include all SSU plants, Yes)

Issue: Shifts/Orders are correctly created but orders from 1 or a few particular plants are not auto-created in FleetWatcher.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Verify the Freight FOB field in Apex is set to “Delivery” and the order status is “Committed”.

    • If incorrect: This is the source of the issue. FleetWatcher will only grab orders meeting these requirements.

    • If correct: Move on to next troubleshooting step

  • Verify the source (location) of the order is on your list of plants that was submitted when integration was set up.

    • If not on the list: This is the source of the issue and you should go to the IT point of contact to add the plant to the integration.

    • If on the list: Contact FleetWatcher support.
