Today’s Shifts

Monitor active MMS and CMS shifts, view performance, and manage shift details in real time.

Introduction:

The Today’s Shifts page displays all active shifts for the current day. Use this page to track performance, view shift progress, and manage shift data in real time. Each shift is shown as a card with high-level details and quick access to deeper insights like the LCA Graph, KPIs, and scale tickets.

Navigation:

To access this feature

Go to: MMS > Shifts >Today’s Shifts

Page Details:

The four tabs across the top left side of the screen are used to navigate to:

  • Today’s Shifts: Review and monitor MMS and CMS Shifts.

  • Scheduled Shifts: Activate MMS and CMS shifts.

  • Completed Shifts: Review completed MMS and CMS shifts.

  • Plant Production: Monitor and review all scaled material. (Requires Scale Integration)

All Trucks:

Below the four tabs you will find filter options labeled, Project, Source, Destination, and Has Scale Tickets.

  • Once any filtering has been selected, click Apply Filters to see the filtered results.

  • Click Clear Filters to remove any previous filtering.

  • Clearing filters may take several moments if there are lots of active shifts.

    • Note: When filtering the Today’s Shifts page, the Apply Filters and Clear Filters buttons display Loading to inform the user the filtering is in progress and to prohibit the buttons from being clicked multiple times before completion.

IMPORTANT: When filtering the Today’s Shifts page, the Cancel/Un-Cancel All and Pause/Resume All buttons will cancel or pause all shifts, not just the filtered shifts displayed. Also, the View in Dashboard control will show all shifts, not a filtered set.

All activated MMS and/or CMS shifts will display under the filter options.

Shift Card Details

Each card shows real-time data for a single shift:

  • Header Info:

    • Job Name, Shift Time, and DOT Icon (if applicable)

    • Foreman and Superintendent assigned to the shift
      ​

  • Key Stats:

    • Trucks Ordered

    • Source / Destination

    • Project Name and Number

    • Load Count and Net Tons (from scale tickets)
      ​

  • Performance Tools:

    • KPIs – Tons per Hour, First Load/Dump, TCpT, etc.

    • LCA Graph – Opens the visual cycle tracking map

    • Shift Notes – Document delays, plant shutdowns, or other events

    • Mainline Paving Calculator – Enabled for paving shifts with a paver destination

Managing Shifts from This Page

  • Edit Shift: Click Edit to update shift details (name, timing, contacts, targets)

  • End or Deactivate: Use the buttons on the shift card to move the shift to Completed Shifts or remove it from Today’s Shifts

  • Track Completion:

    • Shift % Complete bar tracks progress visually

    • Estimated Tons shows projected shift total

For scale-integrated customers, shift KPIs update in real time as scale tickets are received.
