Today's Shifts (Mobile App)

View and manage all active shifts for today, including material tonnage, load counts, KPI performance, and shift completion status.

Introduction

Today's Shifts displays all shift cards for the current day — including day and night shifts that start today. Each shift card summarizes key project details, material movement, shift progress, and performance KPIs.

The plus (+) icon allows users to quickly add a new shift. (For more details about creating shifts, see the Creating a Shift in the FleetWatcher Mobile App document.)

To access Today's Shifts:

Go to: FleetWatcher App > Material Management > Today's Shifts

Shift Card Overview

Each Shift Card includes:

  • Shift Name and Date/Time

  • Project Name and Project Number

  • First Ticket summary (first load details)

  • First Arrival at Destination time

  • Compass Diagram showing truck status:

    • Left (S): Trucks at Source

    • Top (→): Trucks traveling to Destination

    • Right (D): Trucks at Destination

    • Bottom (←): Trucks traveling back to Source

  • Assigned Truck Count in the center of the compass

  • Source and Destination names

  • Load Count and Total Tons Hauled (current totals if shift is active)

  • Shift Completion % based on elapsed time

  • Actual Tons % compared to estimated tons

  • Shift KPIs for:

    • Tons per Hour (TpH): Crew and Truck

    • Feet per Minute (FpM)

    • Cycle Time

    • Trucking Cost per Ton (TCpT)

    • At-Source Time

    • At-Destination Time

    • Paving Distance (if applicable)

KPI Performance Notes

  • Higher = Better KPIs: TpH (Crew and Truck), Feet per Minute (FpM)

  • Lower = Better KPIs: Cycle Time, Trucking Cost per Ton (TCpT)

  • KPI Color Coding:

    • Green: Exceeds Target by more than 5%

    • Yellow: Within ±5% of Target (95–105%)

    • Red: Below 95% of Target

Shift KPIs are shown both for the entire shift and for the past hour.

Important: Final Cycle Time is measured from scale ticket to recorded dump time (+ Clockout Offset, if configured).

How to Access More Options

  • Tap anywhere on a Shift Card to open the Shift Options Menu.

  • From the Shift Options Menu, users can:

    • View KPI Graphs

    • View Scale Tickets

    • View the Map

    • See Incoming Trucks

    • Open Load Cycle Analysis (LCA)

    • Open Quad Analysis

    • View Live Load Count

    • Add/Edit Shift Notes

    • Use Mainline Paving Calculator

    • Review Material to Finish

    • Set or Edit KPI Targets

    • Manage Dispatch Assignments

    • End the Shift
