Fuel Usage Summary

View summarized fuel data for BUS-connected equipment including active, idle, and total gallons, MPG, and overall equipment efficiency.

Introduction

The Fuel Usage Summary provides a roll-up of key fuel and distance metrics across multiple pieces of equipment. This includes idle and productive fuel usage, total miles driven, fuel efficiency (MPG), and gallons burned per hour.

The report only works with supported BUS-connected GPS devices, and will only display fuel information if the connected equipment provides it.

To access this feature:

Go to: Fleet > Fuel > Fuel Usage Summary


📌 Use This Report To:

  • Compare fuel consumption across multiple vehicles

  • Identify high idle fuel usage or low MPG performers

  • Track gallons burned per hour by asset

  • See company-wide or division-level fuel usage summaries

  • Export reports for billing, fuel tax, or operational reviews


🧾 Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Select a date range using:

    • Preset Range dropdown (Current Month, Last Month, Current Week, Last Week)

    • Or manually enter Start Date and End Date

  2. Click into the Company field to select a company from the dropdown list

    • This filter is optional

  3. Click Get Summary

Note:

  • The report supports date ranges of 30 days or less

  • A warning message will appear if the range exceeds 30 days
