Introduction:
The IFTA Summary Report helps you track total "miles driven per state" for equipment marked as IFTA-relevant. This report is used to support fuel tax reporting and only includes On Road equipment where the IFTA setting is enabled.
Navigation:
To access this feature
Go to: Fleet > IFTA > IFTA Summary
Use This Report To:
See how many miles your IFTA-eligible equipment drove in each state
Confirm which units are included in the IFTA mileage totals
Prepare data for fuel tax filings based on jurisdiction
The IFTA Summary Report generates a row for each tracked vehicle and includes a column for each state the vehicle traveled through during the selected date range. It totals your mileage by vehicle and by state, giving you a clear view of IFTA activity for the reporting period

Company Filter:
Filter IFTA Summary by Company to Avoid Report Loading Errors
Objective:
Use this feature to filter your IFTA Summary Report by a specific company, allowing you to run reports for large fleets in smaller, manageable segments to prevent loading errors.
The Feature at a Glance:
Previously, the IFTA Summary Report required users to either run a report for one piece of equipment at a time or for the entire fleet at once. For large fleets, requesting data for every vehicle simultaneously often caused performance issues and loading errors.
With this update, a Company filter has been added to the report interface. This allows you to scope your IFTA reporting to specific subsets of your fleet (such as internal divisions or third-party haulers), ensuring the report loads quickly and stays organized.
How to Use This:
Navigate to: The IFTA Summary Report page within the FleetWatcher web application.
Locate the Company Filter: On the IFTA Summary Report screen, find the new Company dropdown menu.
Select a Company: Click into the Company dropdown and select the specific company you wish to audit.
Set Additional Criteria: Enter your desired date range and any other necessary report parameters.
Generate the Report: Click the button to run the report.
If a Company is selected, the report will only include equipment belonging to that specific entity.
If the Company field is left blank, the report will default to showing all equipment in your fleet as it did previously.
Enhanced IFTA Reporting
We've upgraded our IFTA Summary Reports to handle larger date ranges with ease, giving you faster access to your data.
What’s New:
You can now reliably export up to 90+ days of detailed IFTA information without waiting for your browser to load or worrying about timeouts.
How to Use:
Navigate to Reports > IFTA Summary.
Select your date range.
For 31 days or less, the report will generate instantly in your browser as usual.
For ranges longer than 31 days, click the Request Report (Background) button.
Once the report is ready, you will receive an email notification with a link to download your CSV file.
The system will now securely cache your data, making future requests for the same information even faster.
Pro-Tip / Troubleshooting:
If you have previously experienced "504" or performance loading errors when trying to run a report for your entire fleet, use the Company filter to break the request into smaller groups. This reduces the amount of data being processed at once, significantly improving the speed and reliability of the report generation.
