Introduction
The Utilization Summary Report is a high-level auditing tool that groups fleet performance by Equipment Type. It allows managers to compare categories of machines (e.g., all "Milling Machines" vs. all "Pavers") to identify broad productivity trends across a project.

To access this feature:
Go to: CMS > Summary Productivity > Utilization Summary Report
How to Run the Report
Select Asset & Equipment Types: Choose the specific fleet segment or individual project you wish to audit.
Choose Your Date Range: Use the Preset Range dropdown (e.g., Last 7 Days) or enter a specific Start Date.
Select Display Length: Choose between a Weekly Summary (7-day view) or a Monthly Summary (30-day view).
Generate: Click the Generate Report button to load the visual dashboard and data table.
The Category Dashboard (Graph & Table)
Average Weekly Hours: The bar graph shows the average Run Time for each equipment category.
Heat Map Logic: High-level performance is color-coded based on Productive %:
Red: 60% or lower | Grey: 60%–80% | Green: 80% or higher.
Interactive Tooltips: Hover over any bar in the graph to see a popup with the exact Avg Run Time, Productive Time/Percent, and Idle Time/Percent for that group.
Clickable Daily Data: The hours in the table are links. Clicking a daily value (e.g., 11.17) opens a breakdown of the specific logic for that day's activity.
Individual Asset Expanders
Below the main summary, you can view unit-specific data by clicking the name of an Equipment Type (e.g., "Dump Truck") to expand the section.
Unit Bar Graphs: Each individual machine receives its own bar graph for the reporting period.
Key Asset Metrics:
Days Worked: This column tracks the number of days a machine was active. Note: An asset only counts as "working" if it meets the Minimum Runtime defined in your Custom Equipment Type settings.
Min Runtime Hours: Displays the shortest single engine-on event recorded for that machine.
Individual Totals: Provides a specific breakdown of Total Hours, Idle %, and Productive % for that unique unit.
Exporting & Printing
PDF & CSV: Use the persistent Download PDF or Download CSV buttons at the top of the report to save your data.
Toggle Background Colors: Click this button at the bottom of the table to remove the Red/Green highlighting for a cleaner printed copy.
Mobile App Access
The Utilization Summary Report is also available in the FleetWatcher Mobile (Field) App:
Open the Reports tab
Tap Utilization Report
Choose Off-Road or On-Road
Select Equipment Type
Set Start and End Dates (limited to 6 days on mobile)
Tap Run Report
View totals by asset with color-coded productivity and day/date columns
Use filters or the search bar to refine results
