Introduction
The Weekly Productivity by Project Report summarizes run time, idle time, and productivity for equipment operating on individual projects. This report shows daily activity totals across a full week, grouped by equipment.
Navigation
To access this feature:
Go to: CMS > Summary Productivity > Weekly Productivity by Project
What This Report Shows
Daily Activity Breakdown: Daily totals for engine start/stop times, run time, and productive vs. idle time.
Equipment Grouping: Data is organized by Project and then by individual Equipment Number.
Weekly Performance Metrics: Automated calculations for weekly totals of productive time %, idle %, and total miles.
Step-by-step Instructions
Go to CMS > Summary Productivity > Weekly Productivity by Project.
Use the filters at the top of the page to choose what data to include:
Projects: Active / Inactive / Both
Asset Type: On-Road / Off-Road
Use the Report Filters on the right to narrow results:
Select an equipment type (e.g., Dump Trucks, Pavers)
Project: Select a project from the download.
Report Date: If left blank, defaults to today’s date
Click Generate Report to view results.
If your system contains fewer than 50 pieces of equipment, you may click "Generate Report" without applying any filters.
If your system contains more than 50 pieces of equipment, you must use filters to narrow your selection before generating the report.
Equipment Performance Breakdown
This section organizes performance data by an individual piece of equipment, such as Broom. It details specific activity metrics for every day of the week, including:
Engine Activity: Displays daily Engine Started and Engine Stopped timestamps.
Operational Time: Shows the daily Run Time, which is then categorized into Productive Time, Idle Time, and Roll Time.
Efficiency Percentages: Automatically calculates daily and weekly percentages for Productive Time %, Idle %, and Roll Time %.
Production & Distance: Tracks Loads, Loads Per Hour, and total Miles traveled.
Summary and Financial Totals
The far-right columns consolidate the daily data into a single view for administrative use:
Weekly Total: Aggregates all time and distance metrics for the seven-day period.
Off-Road Financials: Includes columns for Off-Road Rate and the calculated Off-Road Charge ($). The charge is a runtime calculation performed by multiplying the established rate by the equipment's reported time.
Analyzing Equipment Activity: Detailed Reports
To gain deeper insights into your fleet's performance, the Activity Table allows you to drill down into specific daily data. By hovering over a day and selecting a report, you can view the exact metrics driving your productivity scores.
1. Daily Start-Stop Report
The Start-Stop report provides a chronological log of every engine cycle throughout the day.
Start/Stop Time: The exact moment the engine was turned on and off.
Run Time: Represents the total time the engine timer (hour meter) was accumulating time.
Productive Time: The duration the engine was running and not idling.
Idle Time: The total time the engine was running while the machine was stationary.
Roll Time: Represents physical engine movement based strictly on GPS information.
Daily Totals: A summary at the bottom of the report providing the total "Starts" and cumulative metrics for the 24-hour period.
2. Daily Productivity By Hour
This report breaks down machine performance into 60-minute intervals to identify peak activity or downtime trends.
Hourly Intervals: View performance metrics (Productive %, Idle %, and Roll %) for each specific hour of the shift.
Productive Time %: Your productivity efficiency versus the total Engine Timer for that hour.
Idle Time %: The percentage of the hour spent idling versus the total Engine Timer.
Roll Time %: The percentage of movement (GPS-based) as compared to the total Run Hours for that hour.
Loads: Tracks the number of completed cycles or material drops. This is typically used for hauling equipment that receives scale tickets; for non-hauling assets like brooms, this value will display as 0.
Miles: The total distance traveled within that specific hour.
Off-Road Rate & Charge: These columns display the hourly cost associated with the equipment's operation. If these fields are blank, it indicates that a specific rate has not yet been defined within the Custom Equipment Type settings.
3. Breadcrumb Trail (Map View)
The Breadcrumb report provides a visual audit of the equipment’s physical location and movement.
Visual Path: Directional arrows indicate the route taken by the machine during the reporting period.
Status Pins: Icons on the map mark significant events, such as engine starts, stops, or transitions.
Point-in-Time Data: Clicking any point on the trail opens a detail box showing the Hour Meter reading, GPS Coordinates, and the exact Timestamp for that specific location.
Project Verification: Confirms the specific project site (e.g., KDOT US-56) where the work was performed.
Note on Supplemental Input
Supp Time 1: This is an optional installation configuration. While most equipment will not utilize this field, it is primarily used for dump trucks to track specific mechanical actions, such as every time a truck bed is lifted. If no sensor is installed, this value will remain at 0:00.
