Introduction
FleetWatcher tracks the time of the first load and first dump during a shift to measure how efficiently work begins. These KPIs help monitor delays and provide insight into whether the shift started on time and as planned.

You can view First Load / First Dump on:
Today’s Shifts – Active shift cards show real-time KPI values
Completed Shifts – Final KPI values are saved here
Scheduled Shifts Activation Popup – Set expected First Load / First Dump targets

Definitions
KPI | Description |
First Load | The timestamp when the first scale ticket is issued (or when the first tracked load is recorded) |
First Dump | The timestamp when the first truck exits the inner radius of the Destination geozone (usually a paver) |
For non-scale-integrated customers, First Dump is estimated based on load intervals.
Setting Targets
When activating a shift:
You can set Expected First Load and Expected First Dump times
These values are used for reporting and KPI color coding
KPI targets must be set at activation to display target comparisons on the shift card
How It's Used
Helps crews and managers assess startup efficiency
Flags delays in truck arrival, plant opening, or paver setup
Provides real-time progress for dispatch and supervisors
Notification Alerts
First Load Notification Alerts are automatically sent to contacts assigned at the Project level (not the shift level)
Alerts go to:
Foreman
Superintendent
Manager
Other 1
Other 2
These notifications are triggered when the first load of the shift is recorded
If shift-level contacts are not set, FleetWatcher uses the Project’s assigned contacts by default
Notes
These KPIs appear on the shift card in the At Source/At Dest Report section
Final values are recorded in Completed Shifts and shown in KPI exports
Color coding is based on whether the actual time met the target
