Introduction
The FpM KPI measures the speed at which the paver is moving during a shift. It’s used on paving shifts with a paver set as the Destination, and helps ensure your crew is laying material at the expected rate.

Definition
KPI | Description |
Feet per Minute (FpM) | Measures the average distance the paver travels per minute during active paving time |
How It's Calculated
Based on GPS movement from the Destination equipment (paver)
Excludes periods when the paver is stopped or repositioning
Rolling FpM updates in real time during the shift
Repositioning is determined using the FpM non-paving speed threshold set in Add/Edit Equipment (default is 100 FpM)
Why It Matters
Confirms that paving is happening at the right speed
Helps identify slowdowns or excessive repositioning
Supports quality and yield analysis when paired with width, weight, and depth
Color Coding
Color | Meaning |
🟢 Green | Paver speed is within expected range |
🟡 Yellow | Slightly fast or slow |
🔴 Red | Outside of acceptable paving speed |
Thresholds are based on the project plan or your FpM Target (if set)
Notes
Only available when a paver is selected as the Destination
