Tonnage by Equipment Type

See how much material was delivered by each piece of equipment. Grouped by asset and equipment type.

Introduction

The Tonnage by Equipment Type report shows a breakdown of loads, total tons, and average tons per load for each piece of equipment over a selected time period. You can filter by one or more equipment types or companies — or simply run the report with no filters to see all available data.

This report is ideal for tracking asset productivity, verifying performance, and comparing equipment efficiency across jobs.


Navigation

To access this feature:

Go to: MMS > Scale Reports > Tonnage by Equipment Type


Use This Report To:

  • 🚛 Review load and tonnage totals by equipment type

  • 📊 Compare average tons per load across assets

  • 🧾 Filter by one or more companies or equipment types

  • 📅 Set a custom date range or run the report for today by default

  • 📥 Export to CSV or Excel for record keeping


Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Set a Date Range (Optional)

    • Enter a Start Date and End Date

    • If no dates are provided, the report will run for today only

  2. Add Optional Filters

    • Equipment Types: Multi-select dropdown — choose one or more (e.g., Hired End Dump, Sleeper Truck)

    • Company: Multi-select dropdown — filter by one or more device companies

  3. Click Generate Report

    • The table will populate with the following columns:

      • Asset Name: Name of the equipment

      • Device Company: Company assigned to the tracking device

      • Equipment Type: Asset classification (e.g., Dump Truck, Paver)

      • Loads: Number of loads completed

      • Tons: Total tons moved

      • Average Tons: Tons per load for each asset

  4. Export or Print

    • Use the buttons above the report to:

      • Print Table

      • Download CSV

      • Excel Formatted CSV


Notes

  • 🧠 The Average Tons column is calculated as: Tons ÷ Loads

  • 📌 You can select multiple values in both filters to compare across companies and equipment types

  • 📤 All exports reflect filters and sorting applied on screen
