Speed Based Paver Productivity Report

Track stop durations and movement cycles for Pavers and Milling Machines to assess real-time productivity and identify idle patterns.

Introduction

The Speed Based Paver Productivity Report provides detailed stop-and-go activity for paving equipment, helping field teams and supervisors monitor operational time, reduce unproductive delays, and improve cycle efficiency.

This report is specifically designed for Off-Road Pavers and Milling Machines working on mainline or lot-based jobs.

Navigation

To access this report:

Go to: MMS > MMS Reports > Speed Based Paver Productivity

Use This Report To:

  • Track when Pavers or Milling Machines stop and resume movement

  • View total productive time vs idle and repositioning time

  • Apply thresholds to filter short stops out of the report

  • Compare multiple machines of the same Equipment Type

  • Export and analyze time percentages for performance evaluation

Equipment Display Options

  • Equipment: Choose Active, Inactive, or All

  • Asset Type: Must be set to Off-Road (required for report to function)

Report Filters

  • Equipment: Search for a specific asset

  • Equipment Type: Choose Paver or Milling Machine to show all matching equipment

  • Report Start Date / End Date: Choose any custom range (default is current date)

  • Not Moving Threshold: Filter out brief stops below the set time (default = 5 minutes)

  • Time Format: Choose either:

    • Decimal (e.g., 1.75 hours)

    • Minutes (e.g., 105 minutes)

Click Generate Report to run.

Report Output

Results are grouped by Equipment and include:

Column

Description

Stopped Moving

Timestamp when the equipment stopped

Stop Duration

Duration of the stop (must meet threshold to display)

Started Moving

When the machine resumed forward motion

GeoZone

Job zone associated with the movement

Map

Clickable link to view the stop/resume event on a map

At the bottom of each group, summary totals are displayed for:

  • Idle Time and Idle Time %

  • Productive Time and Productive Time %

  • Repositioning Time and Repositioning Time %

📌 Example: If Not Moving Threshold = 3 minutes, the report only displays stops that last 3 minutes or more.

Notes & Requirements

  • This report only works with equipment designated as Paver or Milling Machine

  • Asset Type must remain set to Off-Road

  • Stops shorter than the selected threshold will not be shown

  • Repositioning time reflects small movements that are not considered productive (e.g., lining up the next cut)
