Introduction
The Equipment Log report tracks changes made to equipment records in FleetWatcher. This includes edits to fields like company, meter readings, equipment status, and more. You can filter the report by date and equipment to review user actions across your fleet.
Navigation
To access this feature:
Go to: Manage > Legacy Reports > Equipment Log
Use This Report To:
See who made changes to a piece of equipment
View before/after values for fields like Company, Type, Meters, and Notes
Audit updates by user, date, or equipment
Track important field changes like Hour Meter Offset and Odometer resets
Step-by-step Instructions
Go to Manage > Legacy Reports > Equipment Log
Use the following filters:
Start Date and End Date: Defines the report window
Select Equipment: Optional — leave blank to view all equipment
Click Generate Report
If no date is entered, the report defaults to the previous 24 hours
If no equipment is selected, it shows changes for all equipment
Report Columns Explained
Login Name: The user who made the change
Logged Time: Timestamp of the change
Equipment Name: Name of the equipment that was updated
Field Name: What field was changed (e.g., Alias, Company, Equipment Status)
Action: Type of action — Create, Update, or Delete
Old Value: The original field value before the change
New Value: The updated field value after the change
Export Options
After generating the report, you can export the results using:
Print Table
Download CSV
Excel Formatted CSV
These options appear above the table and allow you to save the report for offline review or sharing.
