Overview
The Camera Overview page gives you a quick, at-a-glance summary of your fleet's camera system activity. Instead of digging through individual reports, you can check this page first to see how your fleet is doing today and over the past month.
This page is part of the new Cameras section in FleetWatcher, which brings all camera-related pages (Overview, Events, Trips, Live Feeds, Footage, Camera Status, and Settings) together in one place.
Navigation
Go to: Cameras > Overview
From the top line navigation menu, click Cameras. Overview is the first page you will see when you open the Cameras section.
Review the summary cards at the top of the Camera Overview page:
Section / Widget | Description |
Events Today | Displays the real-time count of safety/driver events recorded during the current day. |
Live Trips | Shows the count of active trips currently underway. |
Cameras Online | Displays the number of connected/active camera units. |
Events – This Month | Aggregates the total event volume recorded across the current calendar month. |
Driver Event Count (Past 7 Days) | Displays a breakdown of safety events attributed to specific drivers over the last 7 days. |
Top Event Types (Past 7 Days) | Slices recent events by trigger classification (e.g., harsh braking, distraction, speeding, cell phone use). |
Average Events Per Trip / Trips This Month / Severity Breakdown (Full Scope) | Supplementary KPI metrics tracking average event frequency per trip, total monthly trips, and severity distributions (Severe/Critical events). |
Use these summary cards to decide where to dig in further. For example, if you see a spike in a specific event type, go to Cameras > Events to review the individual events.
Notes:
This page updates automatically and does not require you to select a date range; it always reflects today and the current month.
The Camera Overview page is read-only. To take action on an event (such as reviewing footage), click Events or Trips on the left side navigation.
