The Camera Events page displays a list of all recorded safety events detected by your camera system. Each event includes details such as Event Type, Date, Event Capture (Snapshot or Video), Driver, Equipment Number, and Equipment Type.

To access the settings for this feature:

Go to: Fleet > Driver Safety > Camera Events

At the top of the page, use the search bar to locate a specific event. The left and right arrows beside the month and year allow you to navigate between months. A Total Events graph above the list shows how many events were recorded over the selected time period, so you can spot spikes at a glance.

To manage your view, click the Filter (upside-down triangle) icon located in the top-right corner. This opens the filters and settings panel where you can toggle equipment visibility. Once you apply filters, each active filter appears as a small “chip” near the top of the page. Click the X on a chip to clear that one filter, or use Clear All to remove every filter at once.

Selecting Monthly from the Settings dropdown determines the time period shown in the event list. Choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, or Custom dates.

You can also use the Filters panel to narrow your results by Event Type, Equipment, Equipment Type, or Driver.

Note: Event Type: Camera Obstructed, Distraction, Fatigue, Forward Collision Warning, Harsh Breaking, Harsh Cornering, Impact, Lane Departure, Manual Event, Phone Use Detected, Rolling Stop, Speed Camera Violation, Stop & Go, Tailgating, and Unfastened Seatbelt.

Note: The Event Types will display on the GPS Transmission Activity report under column header "Reason for Update"

To review a video or snapshot, click on an event from the Camera Events list. This opens the Videos & Snapshots window. Press the play button to watch both the forward-facing and driver-facing camera views at the same time. At the bottom of the page, use the Back and Next buttons to cycle through each camera view — starting with the driver-facing view, followed by the outward-facing camera.

To access additional options for the video:

Tap the X in the top left corner to close the window when finished. At the top right of the screen, you’ll see a download icon that allows you to save the video or snapshot to your device.

Q: How far back can I view video recordings if an event wasn't triggered?

A: You can access and view video recordings and snapshots for up to 180 days. While the system maintains a permanent record of media IDs in the database, the actual video files are stored on VisionMax servers for this six-month window.
